Kings Campers Donates Tents to Local Boy Scout Troop

7/14/2009
Kings Campers, located at 5507 Lilac Ave, Wausau, has donated 7 tents to Boy Scout Troop 451 of Kronenwetter, WI.

In effort to help those in need go camping this summer, Kings Campers held a sale event that gave $500 for a tent trade on a fold down camper, or $1,000 for a tent trade on a new 5th wheel or travel trailer. Any tents received would be donated to an organization in need.

Through course of conversation, it was discovered that one of Kings Campers employees, Mike Johns, is Scout Master of Troop 451. “There are several kids in our Troop, and a few in other Troops I’m associated with, that are in need of tents to attend Boy Scout functions. The kids will really appreciate these tents. It’s going to be so great to see their faces when they get them.”

John Gajewski, Kings Campers Sales Manager stated, “It’s such a good feeling to know that some kids who wouldn’t otherwise get to go camping, will now be able to. Camping is one of childhood’s greatest experiences. We want to thank our customers for their generosity.”

If you have a tent and/or camping gear in good working order that you’d like to donate to the Boy Scouts, contact Mike Johns at 715-359-5379 or at mpj451@yahoo.com.
